A characterful pair of vintage drop earrings featuring elongated, lantern-shaped pendants with intricate openwork decoration. Each cylindrical form is embellished with scrolling wire motifs, beaded borders and twisted details, finished with domed filigree-style caps at either end.

Suspended from simple shepherd’s-hook ear wires, the hollow construction gives the earrings an ornate, substantial appearance without looking overly heavy. Their softly aged silver-tone finish enhances the depth of the pierced decoration and gives them an appealing artisanal character.

The design has a distinctly bohemian, globally inspired aesthetic and would work particularly well with linen, embroidered garments, kaftans or an understated black dress.

Hardware: 100% Silver 

Height: Approx 2.7 cm, 3.4 cm hooks included 

Handmade so, the hooks show a slight difference in size and shape but the dangling height is preserved. 

NB: Silver is a soft metal, and can be easily bent to your preferred height.

 

Very good vintage condition. The earrings show age-related patina, darkening and light surface wear throughout, particularly within the recessed openwork areas and around the hooks. There are slight variations between the two earrings consistent with handmade or artisanal construction. 

NB: Silver is easily cleaned with a solution
