 This vintage Hermès “Plumes” 90 cm silk carré is a beautifully detailed study of feathers in motion. Designed by Henri de Linares, the artist famed for his nature and hunting themes for Hermès, the scarf scatters finely drawn multi-coloured feathers across a crisp white ground, framed by a soft, understated border.

First issued in the mid-20th century and reissued several times due to its popularity, Plumes (“Feathers”) captures the lightness, texture and subtle colour variations of each plume, echoing Hermès’ long tradition of celebrating the natural world and the elegance of fine plumage.

This scarf is in very good vintage condition, with a few faint stains ( photos) that are only noticeable on close inspection and do not distract when styled. A versatile collector’s piece, perfect worn at the neck, tied to a bag or framed as wall art for lovers of vintage Hermès and feather motifs.

Barely used considering the scarf is from the 1950´s, this true vintage silk scarf is in very good shape. the Silk is still crisp and, despite minor discolouration that wouldn ´t be visible when worn, the scarf looks very fresh.
