S/S 2000 Ivory Silk Pleated Midi Skirt with Yellow Ribbon Hem detail - Prada

A distinctive archival Prada skirt dating to circa Spring/Summer 2000, cut in lightweight ivory silk with a clean, flat upper section that opens into sharply defined pleats below the hip. The silhouette falls below the knee, creating the elegant, elongated proportion associated with Prada’s late-1990s and early-2000s collections.

A narrow pale yellow silk trim runs around the hem, adding a subtle contrast to the otherwise restrained palette. The juxtaposition of the smooth upper panel and architectural pleating gives the skirt movement without unnecessary volume at the waist — a particularly characteristic Prada approach from this period.

The skirt is labelled Prada, Made in Italy, size 40. Its minimalist construction, off-white silk and unexpected flash of yellow give it the intellectual, slightly subversive femininity for which Miuccia Prada’s turn-of-the-millennium collections are known.

Although we have not yet confirmed this exact skirt in a runway image, its proportions and construction are strongly consistent with Prada’s Spring/Summer 2000 era.
