A sparkling pair of vintage clip-on earrings combining dimensional clusters of clear faceted beads with a larger articulated crystal-style drop.

The upper section of each earring is arranged like a flower or small bunch of berries, with numerous cut beads surrounding a central faceted stone. A large round bead hangs beneath, catching the light as it moves and giving the earrings an elegant double-level silhouette.

The clear, colourless finish makes them easy to style, while the abundant faceting creates a softly icy brilliance. Their clustered construction, substantial clip fittings and articulated drops are particularly evocative of glamorous 1950s and early-1960s costume jewellery. Similar clear faceted-glass cluster clip-ons are regularly identified as mid-century pieces.

Good vintage condition.

The faceted beads are complete, with no missing components . They retain attractive transparency and reflective sparkle.

Some beads show light internal cloudiness, fine scratches and age-related surface wear. Minor inconsistencies or tiny edge nibbles are visible on close inspection, as is common with older cut-glass jewellery.

The metal backs show patination, darkening and rubbing to the finish. Both articulated drops and clip mechanisms are intact,.

 

 

The earrings should be cleaned gently without soaking, as moisture can affect vintage wirework and internal fixings.
