A distinctive vintage brooch by Miracle, the renowned British maker celebrated for its Celtic, Scottish and medieval-inspired costume jewellery.

The brooch features a large oval, domed faux carnelian cabochon in a warm russet-red tone, held within an ornate antiqued gold-tone setting. Its sculptural triangular frame is embellished with engraved geometric motifs and openwork loops, creating the appearance of an archaeological or ancient Celtic jewel.

Miracle frequently recreated the appearance of Scottish agates and semi-precious stones using coloured Bohemian glass. This cabochon is glass made to imitate natural carnelian rather than a genuine gemstone. 

Finished with a traditional pin and rollover safety clasp. Signed Miracle to the reverse.

Good vintage condition, with surface wear, darkened areas and mellowing to the antiqued gold-tone finish consistent with age. Fine marks may be visible on the cabochon under close inspection. The pin and safety clasp appear functional. Please refer closely to the photographs.
