A striking pair of vintage mid-century clip-on earrings, designed as sculptural botanical clusters of leaves, rounded fruit-like forms and clear rhinestones.

The warm antiqued gold-tone metal has a softly aged patina, while the clustered rhinestones introduce light and contrast at the centre of each earring. Their dimensional construction and generous scale are characteristic of glamorous 1950s costume jewellery, when statement clip earrings became an essential part of evening and cocktail dressing.

Beautifully theatrical without feeling overly formal, they sit prominently on the ear and read almost like miniature pieces of wearable sculpture. Their floral and fruit-inspired composition has the decorative richness associated with post-war European and American costume jewellery.

Very Good vintage condition. The amber is well preserved with natural-looking inclusions and tonal variations characteristic of the material. The sterling silver shows light surface wear, patination and fine scratches consistent with age and previous use. Clip mechanisms are intact.

Good vintage condition with visible age-related patina, surface darkening and oxidation to the metal, particularly to the reverse and recessed areas.
