Vintage 2006 Muse Brown Leather Bag – Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche

An iconic Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche Muse bag in supple Dark Brown leather, finished with rich gold-tone hardware and the house’s distinctive cylindrical lock detail.

Introduced in 2006, the Muse became one of the defining handbags of Stefano Pilati’s tenure at Yves Saint Laurent, recognised for its softly structured dome silhouette, generous twin handles, double zip closure and substantial hardware. The style quickly established itself as a modern YSL classic and remains one of the most recognisable luxury bags of the mid-2000s.

This example has a particularly appealing lived-in character: the leather has softened naturally with age, creating the relaxed, slightly slouchy shape collectors often seek in early Muse bags.
