A refined vintage Issey Miyake pleated midi dress, made in Japan from a fluid triacetate and polyester blend.

The dress is cut in a softly flared A-line silhouette with three-quarter sleeves, a pointed collar and an open V neckline. Fine vertical pleating runs throughout the garment, creating the sculptural movement and lightness closely associated with Issey Miyake’s textile experimentation.

The design uses subtle black and Brown /Charcoal colour blocking, with a darker central body contrasted by softer charcoal across the upper bodice, sleeves and hem border. The restrained palette gives the dress an architectural, minimalist quality while allowing the pleated structure itself to remain the focus.

The label identifies the piece as ISSEY MIYAKE, Made in Japan, size M, with a composition of 70% triacetate and 30% polyester. Contemporary Issey Miyake collections continue to use triacetate/polyester blends for pleated garments because of their lustre, movement and ability to retain engineered pleating.

Very good vintage condition with light signs of wear consistent with age. Pleating remains well defined throughout, with no obvious major pulls, holes or structural damage visible in the photographs. Minor surface variation may be visible due to the reflective nature of the pleated fabric. Interior labels remain present and legible. Condition reflected in pricing
