A rare pair of Prada Spring/Summer 2008 Fairy Collection platform sandals by Miuccia Prada, from one of the house’s most collectible and recognisable collections of the 2000s.

Crafted in cream and metallic-gold leather, the design features sweeping layered panels, fine ankle straps and a sculptural platform heel. The curved, almost surreal construction is characteristic of Prada’s SS08 Fairy aesthetic, where footwear became part fashion, part fantasy and almost wearable art.

The Prada Fairy Collection is now firmly established as an archival favourite, sought after by collectors of early-2000s Prada, runway-era designer fashion and unusual statement footwear.

This pair has been extensively worn and carries significant visible patina, but that wear also speaks to how wearable and comfortable the design was in practice. It remains a striking surviving example of Prada SS08 footwear, with strong appeal for an archival collector or fashion reference wardrobe.

Heavily worn vintage condition.

Extensive signs of wear throughout, including discolouration and marking to the cream leather, rubbing and loss to the metallic-gold finish, wear around the toe and platform, scuffing to the heels and edges, creasing to the straps and substantial wear to the footbeds and soles.

Not collector-condition footwear, but an important and highly characterful surviving piece from Prada’s cult Spring/Summer 2008 Fairy Collection.
