A Beautiful functioning Gold Plated Omega Geneve, with a Stunning Gold Coloured Sunburst Dial and a Date Function. The Omega 166.041, introduced in the late 1960s, reflects the era's preference for robust, reliable timepieces. This Waterproof model is part of the Omega Geneve line, originally named after the Swiss city, symbolizing precision and innovation. The watch features a streamlined design, embodying the sleek, minimalist aesthetic popular during the decade.
This gold plated Omega Geneve with a date function is in great vintage condition. The gold coloured sunburst dial is stunning and boasts applied baton hour markers with onyx inserts and luminous pips (tritium is denoted by the T-Swiss Made-T) . The pencil hands correspond with luminous and onyx inserts and there is a needle central seconds hand. The dial is completed by the Omega signature and the framed date aperture at 3 o'clock. The gold plated tonneau case is in nice shape there are microscopic metal erosion to the bracelet- but nothing of any concern on a watch of this age! Paired with a Gold Plated strap with a fold over clasp.
This watch is running well and keeping good time, it wears beautifully on the wrist and is a great option for those looking for a gold watch but without the huge price tag. A great buy!
