A wonderfully textural black scarf by Lucia, combining a ribbed knitted wool-blend base with genuine rabbit fur edging and unusually long fur-covered fringe.

The rectangular scarf is constructed in a soft black rib knit, with narrow rabbit-fur trim running along the long edges. At each end, elongated tassels appear to be wrapped or formed in rabbit fur, creating a dramatic, slightly deconstructed finish. When wrapped around the neck, the different textures intermingle particularly well, giving the scarf a much more sculptural appearance than a conventional knitted winter scarf.

Entirely black, it is easy to wear while still having a strong late-1990s fashion feel — somewhere between minimalist, bohemian and slightly gothic styling.

The original Lucia label remains attached.

50% wool, 50% polyacrylic 

Trim and fringe: Made with genuine rabbit fur, traditionally used as a by-product of the food industry. Moreover, by giving an existing material a second life rather than allowing it to go to waste, vintage and pre-owned fur can offer a more circular approach to fashion. Choosing an already-existing piece also avoids creating new demand for the production of a comparable new accessory, extending the useful life of both the fur and the garment.

Good pre-owned condition, with the rabbit fur retaining a reasonably full structure and the knit is structurally sound.

Dry clean only.
