IT 42

An understated vintage Prada midi skirt in deep midnight navy, crafted in 100% silk with a beautifully subtle satin sheen.

The design is characteristically restrained yet distinctive: a clean, elongated straight silhouette is punctuated by two unusually large patch pockets positioned high on the front, giving the skirt a quietly utilitarian quality typical of Miuccia Prada's late-1990s and early-2000s vocabulary. Gentle shaping through the waist and hips keeps the silhouette elegant rather than severe.

The reverse is comparatively minimal, with discreet shaping and a central back vent allowing ease of movement. A concealed zip fastening at the back maintains the exceptionally clean finish.

The silk changes subtly with the light, moving between midnight blue, inky navy and almost charcoal tones. It is precisely the sort of Prada piece whose appeal lies in proportion, fabric and construction rather than overt branding.

Very good pre-owned vintage condition. The silk shows some gentle creasing and subtle tonal variation consistent with the nature of the fabric and previous wear. There are minor signs of wear around the waistband - The skirt has clearly been enlarged at the size, without altering the construction and the skirt fall-  and fastening area, but no significant damage is apparent from the photographs. The zip is intact.
