A charming early 20th-century English silver-plated mustard pot by William Suckling Ltd, produced under the firm's Regis Plate marque.

The small oval pot stands on four scrolling feet and features a gently scalloped rim, hinged domed lid with decorative finial and an integral loop handle. A shaped opening to the edge of the lid was designed to accommodate a mustard spoon while the pot remained closed.

Its compact Georgian-inspired form is typical of English table silver of the period, with the curved feet and subtly shaped edge giving an otherwise practical table accessory considerable character.

The underside is clearly stamped REGIS PLATE REG., E.P.N.S. A1, MADE IN ENGLAND, N220, identifying the maker, silver-plated construction and model number.

Originally intended for serving mustard or other condiments at the table. The item is missing the original removable cobalt-blue glass liner as well as its spoon.. This pot may now serve as a pill box.

Fair to good vintage condition, with visible age-related surface wear, tarnishing, scratching and areas of wear to the silver plating. Some spotting/pitting is visible to the interior. The hinge, handle, feet and lid are intact. The original removable cobalt-blue glass liner and condiment spoon are not present.
