A sculptural pair of vintage clip-on earrings, attributed to Hong Kong jewellery designer Kai-Yin Lo, whose work is known for combining traditional Asian references with clean, contemporary forms.

Each earring features a softly polished cream-coloured panel carved into an abstract overlapping leaf or seed-pod design. The restrained incised detailing gives the earrings an organic, almost Art Deco appearance, while their elongated oval form makes them substantial without appearing overly ornate.

The reverse is fitted with gold-tone hinged clip fastenings marked “KY 925”. This mark, together with the design and mixed-material construction, is consistent with jewellery attributed to Kai-Yin Lo. Kai-Yin Lo established her jewellery line during the 1980s and became known for combining Chinese-inspired forms with semi-precious and organic materials.

Good pre-owned condition.

The glass components remain intact, with no obvious major chips or losses. The carved flowers show natural-looking irregularities, small internal inclusions and tonal differences, all of which contribute to their artisanal appearance.

There are light surface marks and some cloudiness or residue visible within the pale-blue glass. The silver-coloured settings show age-related darkening and patination, particularly around the connecting rings and recessed areas.

Both posts and butterfly backs are present. The claw settings, articulated links and post security are functioning.
