A romantic, sculptural pair of vintage clip-on earrings dating approximately from the 1980s. Each earring features a richly sculpted gold-tone rose suspending an elongated cream faux-pearl teardrop, creating graceful movement and an elegant, softly luminous finish.

The dimensional floral tops bring a baroque-inspired quality to the design, while the long pearl-effect drops lend balance and refinement. Finished with hinged clip-on fastenings and comfort pads, these statement earrings offer an expressive vintage accent for cocktails occasions, eveningwear, bridal styling or a simple tailored look.

The design reflects the era’s romantic and baroque-revival taste for oversized florals, warm gold tones and pearl-effect drops.

Good vintage condition. 

The pearls retain an attractive ivory lustre, hardly visible light surface rubbing, f and subtle tonal variation consistent with age and previous wear. The gold-tone backs show visible patination, darkening and surface wear.

Both clip mechanisms and transparent comfort pads are present. The clips were checked for tension and comfort, the connecting links  remain secure.

 

Avoid soaking or abrasive cleaning, as moisture could affect the internal fixings or aged metal finish.
