A beautifully constructed Italian winter coat in rich chocolate-brown suede, fully lined in luxuriously soft dark genuine fur.

Cut in a gently flared A-line silhouette, the coat is assembled from numerous suede panels that create subtle tonal variation and give the lower half an elegant, almost swing-coat volume. The wide, plush fur collar frames the neckline dramatically, echoed by matching fur cuffs at the bracelet-length sleeves.

Two discreet slanted front pockets and a restrained two-button fastening leave the materials and silhouette to take centre stage. Inside, the coat is exceptionally warm, with genuine fur extending throughout the body rather than a conventional fabric lining.

Made in Italy and labelled 100% genuine leather / Vera Pelle, size 42.

A wonderfully glamorous cold-weather piece with a distinctly retro Italian feel — equally effective over tailoring, eveningwear or a very simple knit and trousers.

NB: Rabbit fur is traditionally used as a by-product of the food industry. By giving an existing material a second life rather than allowing it to go to waste, vintage and pre-owned fur can offer a more circular approach to fashion. 

Choosing an already-existing piece also avoids creating new demand for the production of a comparable new accessory, extending the useful life of both the fur and the garment.

Good vintage condition. The suede shows natural tonal variation, rubbing and areas of darker/lighter patination consistent with age and wear. This is particularly visible across the panelled body and should be regarded as part of the coat's vintage character rather than a uniformly coloured finish.

The fur is  full and glossy, with no obvious large areas of loss. The coat is structurally sound.
