A sculptural hair slide by Johnny Loves Rosie, designed as an elongated leaf and stem in antiqued silver-tone metal. The textured foliage is set with a large clear faceted crystal in an angular cushion shape, accompanied by a smaller round crystal accent.

The openwork surround and engraved leaf veins give the piece a slightly romantic, botanical character, while the long bar fastening allows it to be slipped neatly into an updo, French twist or loosely pinned hair. Although it resembles a brooch from the front, the long fixed bar at the reverse identifies it as a hair slide or hair pin, rather than a brooch.

The reverse is signed “Johnny Loves Rosie.” The accessories label was known particularly for embellished jewellery and statement hair accessories, making the botanical crystal design characteristic of the brand.

Excellent pre-owned condition, with very  light surface wear, minor tarnishing and variation to the antiqued silver-tone finish. The crystals are  present and secure. Please note that the aged appearance of the metal is partly intentional to the design.
