A characterful pair of vintage clip-on earrings arranged as richly textured clusters of multicoloured beads in soft shades of rose pink, powder blue, pistachio green, yellow and cream, estimated to be from the 1950s -1970s era.

The rounded beads have an irregular, mottled surface with layered colour variation, giving them a hand-finished, artisanal appearance. They are grouped with darkened silver-tone leaf-shaped caps to create a dimensional floral or fruit-cluster design.

The combination of textured beads, ornate metal eyelet-style details and clustered construction gives the earrings a distinct Indian-inspired or broader South Asian aesthetic. Their sculptural shape and softly faded palette also lend them a strong mid-century costume-jewellery character.

Multicoloured textured beads, possibly painted wood or papier-mâché, with antiqued silver-tone metal leaf details.

Very Good vintage condition.

The mottled colour, granular texture and irregular finish are intrinsic to the design and not due to damage.

There is age-related patination, darkening and surface wear to the silver-tone metal, particularly across the caps details, rear plates and clip mechanisms. 

Light scratches and minor marks are also presen.

 

The clip fittings is complete and their tension and comfort have been checked. 

 

Avoid soaking or abrasive cleaning, as moisture could affect the internal fixings or aged metal finish.
