A generously proportioned vintage cluster brooch composed of graduated ivory faux pearls arranged in a richly dimensional oval formation. Rounded and elongated teardrop-shaped pearls radiate from the centre, creating the appearance of a densely packed floral or grape-like cluster.

Several of the central pearls are finished with small gold-tone pinhead details, adding subtle contrast to the creamy, lustrous surface. The brooch is mounted on an oval silver-tone metal back and fastens with a traditional hinged pin and rollover-style safety clasp.

Its sculptural volume and warm, softly aged pearl tones give it a distinctly mid-century character. Elegant on a tailored jacket, evening dress or bridal ensemble, it also works beautifully pinned to a velvet ribbon or handbag.

Vintage condition with visible age-related wear. The faux pearls retain an attractive lustre but show some discolouration, surface marks and wear around a number of the drilled or mounted ends. The reverse metal plate has extensive tarnishing, oxidation and surface loss consistent with age.

The pin and clasp are complete.
