A refined statement necklace by Sarah Cavender Metalworks, formed from a broad, supple tube of finely interlinked metal mesh in a rich antique-gold tone. The woven construction gives the necklace substantial visual presence while remaining flexible enough to follow the neckline comfortably.

Its understated tubular form allows the intricate meshwork to take centre stage, creating a look that sits somewhere between modernist sculpture and luxurious textile. The necklace is finished with smooth end caps, an adjustable extension chain and a lobster clasp, allowing the wearing length to be altered slightly.

The signed maker’s plaque appears to read “Sarah Cavender Metalworks”, confirming the necklace as a piece by the American studio celebrated for its hand-formed metal-mesh jewellery. Sarah Cavender founded her business in 1984 and continues to produce jewellery from her workshop in Oxford, Alabama.

Good pre-owned condition, with minor tonal variation and light surface wear consistent with gentle use. The flexible mesh is intact, and the clasp and extension chain are present. Slight darkening within the woven structure is typical of this type of antiqued metal finish rather than  damage.
