A distinctive pair of Tom Ford Jasmine TF137 sunglasses, dating to circa 2009 and produced during the early years of Tom Ford’s eponymous eyewear line.

The Jasmine is characterised by its sculptural crossover metal front, in which the fine rims sweep across one another at the bridge to create an elegant figure-of-eight or butterfly silhouette. The softly oversized brown lenses sit within a warm bronze-toned metal frame, complemented by slender temples terminating in translucent brown tips.

It is a particularly recognisable piece of early Tom Ford eyewear design: sensual, exaggerated and unmistakably informed by the glamorous 1970s vocabulary that runs through much of Ford’s work.

The sunglasses retain the discreet TF nose-pad detailing and Tom Ford plaques inset at the ends of the temples. They are accompanied by the original Tom Ford velvet case, presentation box and documentation shown in the photographs.

Frame and temple: Metal & Acetate

 

with an 82 mm lens width, 6 mm bridge and 110 mm temples.

Pre-owned vintage condition with visible signs of wear. The lenses show surface scratching and fine marks consistent with use, readily visible under direct light. There is light general wear to the metal frame and temple components, while some of the original printed model information on the inner lens/frame area has faded with age. The nose pads show normal age-related discolouration.

The sunglasses remain structurally complete and present very well when worn. The original velvet case and outer box are included and show some storage wear, rubbing and marks.
