A striking black pleated skirt from Issey Miyake FÊTE, cut with an architectural asymmetric silhouette that changes according to how the fabric falls and the waist is adjusted.

Made in finely pleated 100% polyester, the skirt is constructed from overlapping angular panels with diagonal pleating and dramatically pointed, handkerchief-style sections at the hem. A slender drawstring at the waist allows the shape to be adjusted, while the folded upper panel creates further volume and sculptural asymmetry.

The pleats change direction across the individual sections, creating subtle shifts in texture and light despite the monochrome palette. Depending on how it is arranged on the body, the skirt can appear relatively streamlined or considerably more sculptural.

An excellent example of the textile-led construction associated with Issey Miyake, but with the slightly more decorative and feminine approach characteristic of the FÊTE line.

Very good pre-owned condition. The pleating remains crisp and well defined, and the overall construction presents very well. No staining, holes or damage. The drawstring and fastening details are intact, althout the string present a little bit of twist, as the sign of its usage.
