A delicate vintage cameo brooch and pendant in 800 silver, featuring a finely carved classical female profile framed by an intricate rope-like silver surround.

The oval cameo has an elegant, almost archaeological quality, with the pale carved portrait standing softly against its natural luminous background. The female profile follows the classical cameo tradition inspired by Greco-Roman portraiture, giving this small piece a distinctly timeless character.

The reverse is fitted with both a brooch pin and pendant loop, allowing it to be worn pinned to a jacket, blouse or scarf, or suspended from a fine chain. The silver setting is stamped 800, denoting 800/1000 silver, a fineness frequently encountered in continental European jewellery.

Particularly appealing as a small piece of wearable art, this cameo works beautifully alone or layered with other antique and vintage pendants. Its restrained scale makes it easy to wear while retaining the romantic, Grand Tour-inspired character associated with traditional cameo jewellery.

Good vintage condition. The silver shows natural oxidation, tarnish and surface wear consistent with age, particularly to the reverse and recessed areas of the setting. The cameo remains visually clear and securely set. Brooch pin and pendant fitting are present. Minor age-related marks are visible throughout and contribute to the piece’s vintage character. Please refer closely to photographs for condition.
