A distinctive artisan statement ring crafted in hallmarked 925 sterling silver and centred with a generous rectangular amethyst cabochon.

The broad, gently tapered band has a tactile hammered finish, creating a softly oxidised silver surface that contrasts with the warm gold-tone bezel surrounding the stone. Raised, irregular gold-tone ribs extend along each shoulder, bringing an architectural, almost talismanic quality to the design.

The amethyst-coloured stone is cut with a domed centre and wide bevelled edges, allowing its violet tones and natural-looking internal variation to remain visible. Bold in scale yet balanced in construction, this mixed-metal ring makes a strong standalone piece and reflects the expressive character of late-20th-century studio jewellery.

Pre-owned vintage condition with signs of age and previous wear. The sterling silver displays minute surface scratches, patination and darkening within the textured areas. The gold-tone elements show tonal variation and light rubbing. The purple stone contains visible internal inclusions and colour variation, with minor surface wear apparent on close inspection. The stone is securely held within its bezel setting. 

 

The uneven, hammered silver finish and irregular gold-tone ribs appear intentional and form part of the handmade design.
