A striking vintage oval brooch centred with a large domed cabochon displaying dramatic bands of amber, caramel, cream and deep smoky brown. The stone is held by decorative claw settings within an ornate gold-tone openwork surround, giving the piece an antique-inspired, richly textured appearance.

The reverse reveals an intricate pierced setting and a long pin fastening with a simple hook-style catch. Its generous scale and warm earthy colouring make it an expressive statement brooch for a coat, blazer, scarf or dress.
