A delicate vintage camisole in soft ivory, combining broderie anglaise, fine lace inserts and a lightly gathered silhouette.

Cut with slender shoulder straps and a gently fitted upper section, the top falls into a looser, softly flared shape. Narrow vertical lace panels run through the body, adding texture and emphasising the elongated lines of the design.

The lower edge is particularly pretty, finished with a broad broderie anglaise border featuring floral eyelet motifs and a scalloped hem. The tonal combination of embroidery, openwork lace and lightweight woven fabric gives the piece a distinctly romantic quality without feeling overly decorative.

Its cropped proportions make it particularly easy to wear with high-waisted trousers, denim or a long skirt, either on its own in summer or layered beneath a jacket or cardigan.

The cream rather than brilliant-white colouring also gives it the softer appearance associated with vintage lingerie-inspired dressing.
