A distinctive vintage 925 sterling silver artisan necklace centred with a sculptural asymmetrical pendant in a strong modernist / brutalist style.

The pendant is formed from two curved silver plates joined into an architectural bib-like shape, embellished with clusters of raised silver granulation, pierced circular openings and sharply folded geometric elements. A glass cabochon is set asymmetrically to one side, while two matching glass beads connect the pendant to a long rectangular-link silver chain.

The contrast between the cool, hand-worked silver and the warm translucent glass gives the necklace a striking graphic quality. The deliberately irregular surface, abstract geometry and applied silver details give the piece the character of late 20th-century studio jewellery, with a strong handcrafted rather than mass-produced feel.

A 925 silver mark is clearly visible on the pendant fitting, together with what appears to be a maker’s mark or initials. The maker has not yet been identified, so the necklace is best described as an unattributed artisan silver piece.

A bold choice for collectors of vintage sterling silver jewellery, modernist necklaces, brutalist jewellery, studio jewellery and sculptural statement pieces.

Good vintage condition with visible patina, tarnishing, surface scratches and light oxidation consistent with age and hand-worked silver. The pendant shows intentional irregularity and texture typical of artisan construction. The glass cabochon and beads remain intact and secure, and the chain and connections appear functional.
